What's covered
Scope of this policy.
This policy covers paid services on Makaan, currently:
- Featured listing placements — paid promotion that pushes a listing to the top of search results and the homepage.
- Other paid services as they become available (rent agreement generation, premium tenant features, etc.).
Free use of Makaan — browsing listings, posting standard listings, contacting owners via WhatsApp — involves no payment, so refunds don't apply.
When you qualify
Refund-eligible situations.
You're eligible for a full refund if:
- Technical failure on our side— the paid feature didn't activate or didn't work as described due to a bug or service outage.
- Duplicate charge — you were billed more than once for the same purchase.
- Cancellation before activation — you cancel within 24 hours of purchase AND before the feature has been activated on your listing.
When you don't
Non-refundable situations.
Refunds are not available when:
- The feature has been activated and run as described (we offer pro-rata refunds only for documented technical failures during the active period).
- You no longer want the service after it's started but it's working as expected.
- The listing was removed for violating our Terms of Service.
- Payment was made more than 90 days ago.
How to ask
Requesting a refund.
Email support@imobiledesigns.com with:
- Your registered phone number
- The Razorpay payment reference / transaction ID
- A brief description of the issue
We respond within 3 working days. Approved refunds are processed via Razorpay within 5–7 working days; funds return to the original payment method.
Chargebacks
Please talk to us first.
If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending investigation. Please email us — we resolve genuine issues faster than the bank dispute process.
Changes
When this policy changes.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects any changes. Continued use of paid features after a change means you accept the new policy.
